Checks revealed that although the Centre of Excellence is no pushover when it comes to end-of-year festivities, this particular edition has been especially overwhelming.

Top-level players in high society attribute this development to two main factors: the unrest in the East, which has forced many fun lovers out of the area and prevented others who would have traveled from doing so, and Dubai shutting its doors to revelers from Nigeria.

“Dubai has always been the preferred spot at this time of the year for many wealthy Nigerians, particularly from the North. With Dubai severely limiting entry to Nigerians, Lagos became the place to be,” insiders revealed.

Add that to the people driven by other circumstances to spend their end-of-year celebrations in Lagos, and you get a fair idea,” observers pointed out.
