Emerging details have revealed how Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly Mudashiru Obasa became a person of interest for an anti-corruption agency, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission ( EFCC) and other relevant agencies against fraudulent practices.

Insiders disclosed that before the issue of petitions to these agencies against the speaker kicked off, his action had resulted in interest from the EFCC.

Sources disclosed that the Speaker at a point when he wanted to travel abroad submitted his bank account as part of the required documentation to prove he is not a flight risk.

Societynow.ng gathered that the deposit in the account raised eyebrows at ‘’the embassy’’ and based on an agreement with security operatives, the information was passed to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

Insiders disclosed that it was the BVN (Biometric Verification Number) on the account that berthed the ‘’64 bank accounts’’ now trending.

Societynow.ng learned that the deposit discovered in the accounts resulted in an EFCC invitation to the Speaker and ‘’some staff’’ of the Lagos State House of Assembly.

‘’Top leaders in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos state including Asiwaju Bola Tinubu were aware of the issue before it became public knowledge’’ societynow.ng gathered.

Multiple sources, via opinions, insist that it was very wrong of Saharareporters.com, the chief accuser of Obasa to publish his BVN in full along with specific details of the bank accounts.

‘’Saharareporters got it wrong there, especially quoting the BVN numbers in full, that was extreme and exponentially exposes the Speaker to possible frauds if he owns the BVN and those accounts’’ societynow.ng learned.

Though many believe that Saharareporters.com was forced to adopt the extreme behavior to prove it is not a liar platform as claimed by Obasa and his handlers  in response to all allegations published against the Speaker so far, the consensus remains ‘’ publishing the BVN was going overboard’’.
