Traffic : How To Plan Your Friday Trip In Ibadan As Ladoja Becomes Olubadan
ascends the throne as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
Ibadan will be buzzing on Friday as Rashidi Ladoja, former Oyo governor, ascends the throne as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
With Mapo Hall set to host the colourful ceremony, authorities have warned of major traffic disruptions in the city centre. From 7 a.m., several key routes — Beere Junction, Born Photo Junction, Idi-Arere Junction, and Itamerin Junction — will be closed to traffic.
To ease movement, three parking hubs have been designated for invited guests: the Ibadan North Local Government car park at Agodi, the football field beside Yemetu Police Station, and Liberty Stadium, Oke Ado.
From these spots, shuttle buses will be available to convey dignitaries and invitees directly to Mapo Hall.
Residents and visitors alike are urged to plan their movements early to avoid getting caught in the surge, as Ibadan marks this once-in-a-generation traditional event.
