“The Truth About the Mid Night Brawl That Got My Wife Ivie’s Leg Broken & How She And Her Lover Got Be Detained Over Night” John Edobor Makes More Astounding Revelations About Infamous Family Mess
John Edobor, makes more astounding revelation in the infamous family feud with his wife, Ivie in the concluding part of his interview.
Here are links for background on initial report
‘’On the day her leg got broken’’ he started and i interjected ‘’How did you get to be at the scene?’’
‘’That is what i want to explain’’ he explained and continued ‘’I was coming from Ife (Osun State), i am doing a programme there and normally we come back late to lagos and a week before we had agreed to go out, we normally hang out in Ojez
‘’I usually park my car in the stadium and from there they take us in a bus to Ife and bring us back and i pick my car and go..so myself and Ivie agreed to hangout at Ojez that night and on my way from Ife around 7, we were already approaching Lagos and i sent her a text that to get ready because it was a Saturday and after some minutes she replied that the father wanted her to come and discuss some issue and i said which issue and she said our matter and i said why would your father call you at this time to come and discuss our issue…she said well, that is what the family gathered to come and discuss.

‘’She didn’t know, i knew the day was her father’s birthday and i said know Ivie, you can’t be saying this and today is even your father’s birthday and you didn’t tell me today is your father’s birthday and i said your father that i know would not call you by this time of the day to leave the children and come see him at Orile to come and start discussing my issue, he would rather wait till morning to call you
‘’and i said let me call your father, she said she was going with her sister to meet the senior sister to discuss some family issues and i said Ivie, you are telling too many stories..
‘’First it was your father, now your senior sister in Gbagada..well am close to Lagos, i just want you to get set when i come we will discuss about it and she said she would gimme a call when she finish with the sister..after that initial conversation it took us about two hours to get to Lagos, at about 9p.m and from the time of of initial conversation till i got to Lagos, where my car was and transferred my books and drove to her house i didn’t hear from her again
‘’When i got to her house, i saw her car parked and met by kids with the house help and i asked where is your mummy, my children said their mummy went out and i said with who and they said they don’t know because they didn’t see the person that came to pick her and i said ok fine and they rushed me Daddy Daddy where are you going and i said let me go down stairs to try find out where she went and i met the security man down stairs and i asked him, please do you know where this woman went to and he said she went out with one man that normally comes on week days to come and stay with her and i said who is this man and he described the man and the car and said his name is man and this same Mathew according to Ivie is married with two kids
‘’So i said ok and went back upstairs and waited till 10, she didn’t come and sent her messages and she didn’t reply and i kept sending messages she didn’t reply until around 12 and two of the kids had slept and i told the one that was awake that i am coming and i needed to get something and i met the security man and i said where can i get a drink and he pointed somewhere around the place and it was where i was that the other security men came and said oga na we dey guard this place now, buy something for us and i did and they asked what are you doing here and i said i came to see my wife and they said that madam and i said yes and one of them now said that woman, we now that man that always come around is not her husband….and i said that one is not my business and a stayed a couple of minutes more and went upstairs
‘’and after sometime, i went back downstairs to ask the security man, when is she coming back and he said he doesn’t know and i sat down there discussing with him and before you know it around past 1a.m, they drove in..the security man was the one that even told me, that is the man and so they parked in front of the gate and the guy alighted from the car, went round and opened the car for Ivie and then i stood up and said Ivie

‘’Immediately Ivie sighted me, all i could hear was Óle Ole Ole (Thief, Thief, Theif) and i turned round and said what is going on
‘’She just started shouting Ole Ole for no reason?’’ i asked
‘’yes’’ he replied emphatically and went on ‘’Because when the guy opened the door , he held her and they were kissing and it was then i stood up said Ivie, she know pushed the guy aware and started shouting Ole Ole and i turned around and said who is the Ole now, this guy or me and before i could say jack robinson, the guy had opened his door and brought out a hammer and so i had to defend myself..
‘’Hammer or jack?’’ i asked
‘’Hammer’’ he restated and continued ‘’ from his car..
‘’is he a carpenter that goes about with hammer?’’ i chipped in again
‘’No , he is into construction..he is an engineer’’ he provided insight and continued ‘’ so when i sought the thing becoming dicey, i looked around i was helpless, i didn’t come with anything for such
‘’I looked around and i saw one broken table..
‘’And you went for that one, why didn’t you run for your life?’’ i asked
‘’To where?’’ he retorted
‘’The gate was there, you could have run out of the compound…?’’ i offered
‘’It wasn’t even inside the compound’’ he pointed out
And i countered with ‘’you could have run anywhere but you wanted protect your property? Defend your pride?’’
‘’well maybe’’ he admitted grudgingly and continued ‘’maybe that is the truth, but at that point in time i didn’t think of running’’ he stated and continued
‘’I looked for what to defend myself with and before i knew what was happening, Ivie had rushed to meet and she held my hands from behind
‘’In her pregnant state?’’ i interjected
‘’No she has gone to terminate it by then, from the look of things’’ he stated and continued with his narration of the street brawl ‘’Mathew was advancing toward me with the hammer and Ivie was holding me
from behind and in the course of my struggle with Ivie, two of us fell to the ground and before i knew what was happening this guy had raised the hammer and wanted to hit me with it and i dodged it by moving by leg and he slammed it on her and the second time again i had to roll over Ivie and she received the blows and she was screaming my leg is broken, my leg is broken, my leg is broken ..
‘’And the gateman what was he doing?’’ i asked
‘’the gateman was one small hausa boy and it was at that point the other street guards rushed down and separated us and she was seriously injured and my intention was to rush her to the hospital but the street guard held me back, that i should chill and it took another ten minutes for Mathew to enter his car and took her to the hospital and that was transpired that night before the policemen now came and
‘’who involved the police?’’ i asked
‘’it was herself and the guy that called the police and they now took me to the police station and the next day took the case to court on Monday
‘’Did they ask you any question?’’ i asked
‘’yes, they did and i wrote my statement’’
‘’But they detained you?’’ i asked
‘’Yes, they did’’ he responded
‘’In The cell?’’ i followed up
‘’Yes’’ he responded again.
‘’And somebody came to bail you?’’
‘’yes’’ he stated.
‘’who footed the hospital bill?’’ i asked
‘’well nobody has paid’’ he responded and explained ‘’initially when the family waded in they said i should pay the hospital bill being my wife and all that, because the children were involved and i made the initial payment of N500,000’’
‘’How much is the total bill?’’ i asked.
‘’About N3.2million, at the sae Tokin hospital ‘’ he responded
‘’When you paid the initial N500,000, what happened?’’ i asked.
‘’the man refused that i must pay the rest in full after i mapped out how to pay the rest…this was after he collected the initial payment’’ he stated
‘’When the family waded, in you were about to resolve the issue..what now triggered it again’’ i asked.
‘’she did’’ he responded ‘’she went on social media and started writing and putting everything out, she has being resisting reconciliation since then’’
