The situation, societynow.ng gathered, put Senator Iyiola Omisore’s perceived hold on his domain in doubt.
But the outcome of state assembly elections of March 9, 2019, has brought relief of sort the way of the popular politician.
Findings revealed he overwhelmingly delivered his polling unit for the political party he recently joined, APC.
The polling unit result revealed APC polled 517 votes to defeat PDP which got only 12 votes.
Omisore cast his vote at polling Unit 04, St Gabriel Primary School, Moore, Ile-Ife, Osun State.
The former senator performed his civic right at around 12.07 pm.
Findings revealed he voted late due to the fact that he was stopped on way to his voting centre by some armed military personnel at Lagere area of his town of Ile-Ife.
Omisore who rode in his SUV marked FG 295 ZP was reportedly delayed for almost two hours but only allowed to proceed to his polling unit after a senior military officer intervened and ordered that he should be allowed to go.
Those who are familiar with the kind of arrangement that played out days to the election have attributed Omisore’s victory at his voting centre to the deal he struck with Minority Leader of Osun State House of Assembly, Honourable Dipo Eluwole.

The arrangement was a major boost for Omisore and APC in the area, an insider briefly disclosed.
