Share Your Blessings With Less Privileged — Gov Uba Sani Pleads
wishing all those traveling for the Sallah celebrations safe journeys
Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has urged Muslim faithful and all residents of the state to emulate Prophet Ibrahim’s spirit of giving by sharing their blessings with the less privileged during the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.
In his Eid-el-Kabir message to the people of Kaduna State, the governor congratulated Muslims on the joyous occasion, describing the festival as a time for reflection, sacrifice, and compassion.
“Eid-el-Kabir commemorates the profound act of obedience and unwavering faith demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim (A.S.), who was prepared to sacrifice his beloved son Ismail in submission to the command of Almighty Allah (SWT),” Sani said. “This divine instruction and subsequent intervention exemplify the ultimate call for total surrender to the will of Allah.”
He emphasized that the festival is not only a celebration but also a reminder of selflessness and service to humanity. “Let us not forget its true essence, which is obedience, sacrifice, compassion, and unity,” he added.
Governor Sani called on the people of Kaduna State to reflect deeply on these values and to live by them every day, not just during the festive season. He also urged citizens to give thanks for the progress being witnessed in the state, attributing recent gains in peace, development, and security to divine grace, sustained prayers, and collective commitment.
Highlighting the achievements of his administration over the past two years, the governor listed infrastructural development, improvements in health and education, poverty alleviation, and enhanced security efforts as key milestones.
He also sought prayers for continued strength and wisdom to tackle the challenges of governance and security. “May Allah SWT grant us the wisdom to lead with justice, fairness, and compassion,” he prayed.
Governor Sani extended his call for prayers to national leaders, especially President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, urging citizens to seek divine guidance for them as they work towards building a peaceful and united Nigeria.
“To all those whom Allah SWT has blessed with wealth and means, I urge you to emulate Prophet Ibrahim’s spirit of giving by sharing your blessings with the less privileged and your neighbors,” he said. “Let this be a time of generosity, kindness, and social solidarity.”
He concluded by wishing all those traveling for the Sallah celebrations safe journeys and joyful reunions with their families and loved ones.
“May the blessings of Eid-el-Kabir fill our lives with peace, our homes with love, and our state and nation with unity and progress,” he said.
