Shamefaced, Abdulrasheed Maina Dodges Camera During 1st Court Appearance After Jumping Bail

Rearrested former chairman of the defunct Pension Reform Task Force Team Abdulrasheed Maina had his first appearance in court, after his extradition from Niger Republic, on Friday, December 4, 2020.

Maina who jumped bail was re-arrested earlier in the week in Niger Republic and brought back into the country yesterday, Thursday, December 3, 2020.

He was shamefaced in court according to witnesses at Federal High Court Abuja where he is undergoing trial for mega-money corruption charges.

Societynow.ng gathered that Maina relentlessly tried to dodge cameras from capturing his face for posterity.

Sources disclosed that Maina whose flight while on bail attained the height of notoriety with the remand in prison custody of his surety Senator Ali Ndume over the inability to produce him on demand by the court routinely used his hands to cover.
