SGF Babachir Lawal Steps Down As Chairman Of Presidential Committees

Information filtering in have it that Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal has stepped down as Chairman of the Presidential Committee on the reconstitution of the Federal government boards of Parastatals, agencies and commissions.

The move is said to be at the instance of directive from President Muahammadu Buhari.

Report credited to Daily Trust claims Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has taken over the position.

The step down of SGF lawal is believed to have a thing or two to do with raging conflict with Senate on allegations of corruption.
Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami – empowered by the President – is currently investigation the allegations against the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
