Senator Gbenga Daniel of Ogun East has offered a detailed account of the qualities that define Edo State’s Governor-Elect, Monday Okpebholo.

In an open letter, Daniel congratulated Okpebholo on his electoral victory and provided insight into the character of the man set to lead Edo State.

Addressing Okpebholo as “Dear Senator Monday Okpebholo,” Daniel began by congratulating him and the All Progressive Congress (APC) on their triumph in the September 21, 2024, governorship election in Edo State.

He expressed pride in being associated with Okpebholo, particularly recalling his outstanding leadership during his tenure as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Public Procurement.

Daniel highlighted Okpebholo’s ability to foster strong working relationships within the committee and his exceptional service record.

According to Daniel, Okpebholo is not only a “deep thinker” but also a “highly responsible strategist.” He praised the Governor-Elect’s humility, respectful demeanor, and diligent efforts during his campaign, which resonated with voters across villages and towns in Edo State. These qualities, Daniel noted, contributed significantly to Okpebholo’s success in securing the governorship.

The letter, signed by Senator Otunba Gbenga Daniel, closed with warm congratulations and a reaffirmation of respect and support for Okpebholo as he steps into his new role as Governor of Edo State.

Daniel’s insight , disclosed in the letter posted on social media, came from interactions with Okpebholo during shared time at the Senate.
