Information filtering has unearthed the new power behind Osun state chapter of People’s Democratic Party.
He is Wole Oke, the man who just returned to the Federal House of Representatives after a break of a single term.

Wole Oke’s emergence comes on the heels of the edging out of influential politician Senator Iyiola Omisore.

Inside sources claim for keen followers of events within the PDP the development was long in coming.

Oke is said to have prepared ground work for this change in baton with years of great generosity that defies party in the state.

‘’he is a naturally option with the influence of Omisore on the wane thanks to the loss of the Federal Government by the PDP’’ a source divulged.

Societynowng.com learnt a deep pocket himself, Oke had endeared himself to many within his party with this and that acts of kindness and support.
He is reputed to constantly dole out car gifts to party men, community leaders and traditional rulers in his area and state at large.
His influence was however kept at bay with the federal might behind Senator Iyiola Omsiore.
Omisore had better contacts and weight at the National level of the party and in government when PDP was in power.

‘’they both eyed the Osun guber ticket in last general election but Omisore with his clout at the national level was a clear favourite and became candidate’’ a source analysed.

But with PDP no longer incharge of the Federal Government and politics reduced to influences at state level for the party, Oke’s years of hard work finally bore him fruit.

Soji Adagunodo, the man he quietly backed as state chairman of his party in the recently held congress against the choice of Omisore emerged winner.

And not only this, went on to secure recognition at the national level of the party along with his team.

Sources confirmed the fact that Oke is a sitting Federal lawmaker along with it’s inherent and obvious political, economic and social advantages is also a very big boost for him.

Insiders confirmed against that of Omisore in the PDP circle of Osun state, Oke’s corner enjoys the support of the likes of Erelu Olusola Obada and Shuaibu Oyedokun and others.

‘’compared to Omisore, Oke is seen as more free minded and ready to give a chance and ear to people’s say…aside his open hand approach that is greatly working for him as well’’ a source confirmed.

Observers however claim how well the party performs in the state with Oke as power behind the movement remain to be seen, though many believe it stands a better chance now to bid for a takeover of the state government currently in the clutches of rival All Progressives Congress.
