Popular Ibadan Money Man, Ganiu Shonubi’s Gaso Furniture, Events Centre At Risk As Diamond Bank Moves To Recoup N150m Loan

Emerging details have it that Ibadan, Oyo state money man Ganiu Shonubi presently has his hands full trying to protect his claim to fame and identified money maker.

Sources claim his popular businesses, the Furniture company known as Gaso and the events place named Casio Lucio are about to be prised out of his hands over a loan gone bad.

According to information available financial institution Diamond bank are gunning for a takeover of the businesses in lieu of a N150million loan.

The popular Ibadan man was said to have secured the loan to execute a “contract” during the regime of former bank MD Alex Otti.

According to information sourced from societyreel, Shonubi’s bossom friend Abombola Davies put in a good word for him with the bank to secure the loan.

Shonubi was said to have used his mega money furniture business as collateral for the loan.

But the tide of commerce went against him.

The furniture business’s glam is no more and he is unable to meet up with repayment plans.

And with a new Chief Executive Officer, Uzoma Dozie in the saddle, the Bank he owes is pushing hard to recoup its fund.

And as Shonubi finds it increasingly hard to meet up, the financial institution is said to have initiated moves to take over his known assets and businesses.

And at risk are said to be the no more bouyant Gaso Furniture and Casa Lucio events centre located in the building – owned by the man owing N150million.

But sources claim Shonubi who has gone underground is making huge and spirited efforts to avert the looming “business disaster”.
