In a splendid display of joy and unity, Lagos became the place to be as dignitaries, family members, and friends gathered to honor Ndutimi Alaibe, the famous friend of many from Bayelsa State, on the occasion of his son Ebitare’s wedding to his beloved Anne.
Ndutimi Alaibe is the former Niger Delta Development Commission and gubernatorial aspirant simply known as Timi Alaibe.
The grand event took place at The Monarch Event Centre in Lekki,Lagos.
The crème de la crème of Nigerian society came together to witness the union on Saturday, November 23, 2024.
The ceremony was graced by an impressive roll call of notable personalities, including former President Olusegun Obasanjo, who continues to inspire as a mentor and father figure. Among the dignitaries present were retired Navy Captain Caleb Olubolade, former governors Senator Seriake Dickson and Celestine Omehia, and former Deputy Governor Gboribiogha John-Jonah, showcasing a blend of Bayelsa and national leadership.
A high-profile delegation from Bayelsa State provided support to Alaibe.
Led by Governor Duoye Diri, they included Hon. Fred Agbedi and Hon. Rodney Ambaiowei of the House of Representatives, Bayelsa State PDP Chairman Solomon Agwana, State House of Assembly member Mrs. Ebizi Brown, and other members of the State Executive Council. Esteemed royal fathers and political leaders also added prestige to the occasion.
In his address, delivered in the Izon language, Governor Diri shared a heartfelt message, emphasizing the foundations of a happy marriage.
The groom, Ebitare, was urged to cherish, protect, and prioritize his wife’s wellbeing, ensuring their union thrives in love and mutual respect.
