Otti Offers Automatic Employment To 9 Abia Indigenes Honoured By NYSC
said the beneficiaries distinguished themselves in their primary assignments
Governor Alex Otti of Abia has approved automatic employment for nine indigenes of the state who won the prestigious Presidential NYSC Honour Award for outstanding national service.
Otti said the beneficiaries distinguished themselves in their primary assignments across Nigeria and brought honour to Abia through their service, creativity and dedication.
The honourees are Nwogu Chinonso, Anyanwụ Promise, Ezieme Francis Uba, Emmanuel Ogbenyealu Ezinne, Abia Chinwendu Grace, Nwafike Esther Chiemela, Dr. Ugwa Obinna Mark, Eke Lawrence Miracle, and James Raphael Chukwuebuka.
The governor said the recognition reflects Abia’s leading position among states, noting that out of more than a hundred corps members celebrated nationwide, nine of them were from Abia.
Otti commended Gladys Adama, the NYSC coordinator in Abia, for her role in supporting the corps members and for presenting their achievements to the state.
“To the coordinator, thank you for your tireless work and for bringing these champions to our attention. And to the awardees: may your journey in public service be marked by the same distinction that brought you national honour,” he said.
The Presidential NYSC Honour Award is given to exceptional corps members whose service has national impact, often in communities far from their states of origin.
