…oil men converge from far and near to honour their own

It was meant to be as off the glare as possible – and it was.

This is despite the threatening to burst at the seams numbers of heavy weights, particularly oil men in attendance.

Despite the need for class and style, the celebrants didn’t want to offend the sensibilities of a nation battling economic hardship.

This was against the background that Esther Nnamdi Ogbue, the managing director incharge Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation – Retail did all she could to make the wedding ceremony of her daughter, Ifeyinwa as off the news as possible – despite the perceived intimidating wealth on hand to display.

According to information available Ifeyinwa was united in holy matrimony with beau, Joseph Obla on Saturday, December 17 2016.

And the event labelled ‘’very grand’’ held at Landmark Event Centre, Victoria Island Lagos state.

This was after what sources labelled glam of an engagement ceremony on Thursday December 17 2016 at hospitality place, Dorchester (also in Victoria Island).

The landmark event according to emerging details was a statement of style and class- arresting wealth.
But the celebrants tried as much as possible to keep the show of wealth as quiet as possible – no press, sources claim.

And naturally oil men and petroleum industry administrators as well top level men of commerce and government functionaries showed up to identify with their own.

Amongst the attendees were Group Managing Director, NNPC, Dr Maikanti Baru, the former
managing director of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress in
Bayelsa State, Chief Timi Alaibe, Chairman House Committee on Petroleum Resources Downstream, Hon. Joseph Akinlaja and wife, Mrs. Queen Akinlaja, Hon. Ayodeji Adebayo Joseph; top-shots in NNPC, and oil companies, diplomats, captains of industries among others
