No Chairs, Tables & Other Challenges As Workers Are Posted To New Council Areas Created By Gov Ibikunle Amosun

The posting of the unified staff of the Ogun state local governments to the 37 newly created local council development areas is underway.
Topshots such as Head of local government, director of administration and their deputy (Clerk of the house), director of finance and auditor are ordered assume duties latest by June 5 2017.

Many of the junior staff resumed earlier.
Sources however disclsoed since the affected staffers started assuming their new positions, it has been tales of lack and great challenges.

According to an insider though some of the staffers met absolutely nothing on ground, no chairs and tables.

“Even those who were lucky to remain at old secretariat, though the inherited structures they are currently battling with lack of office tools” a source stated.

Informants claim some of the chairmen have taken huge steps to battle the situation.

According to a source the chairman incharge of Mowe/Ofada LCDA went out of his way to rent a duplex to service as office for his men.

But in Abeokuta South East where a school at Idiaba is converted into “office”, all senior staffers posted there are jampacked into a room.
“there are about eight of them sharing a room” a source disclosed.

At Idi Iroko LCDA there are said to be about 8 rooms for the operation of the council but not office tools.

Sources disclsoed this is general theme of the challenges in all the 37 local council development areas as staffers resume duties.

Some of the chairmen are said to be facing the situation head long while others are just holding hands in expectation of the promised take off grant made by Governor Amosun.
