Niger Tornadoes Gets New Coach, Technical Crew

Coach Hamza Abdul Azeez Abarah has agreed terms as the new Technical Adviser of Niger Tornadoes Football Club of Minna.

Coach Abarah met with the officials of the club at the club’s secretariat and agreed on personal terms

The management of the club made this pronouncement through its Media Officer, Usman Garba Kuta.

Coach Abarah’s appointment is coming shortly after the dissolution of the interim technical crew that was in charge of the team following the departure of Coach Abubakar Bala Mohammed to Lobi Stars of Makurdi.

He has previously coached Sokoto United and Niger Tornadoes as Technical Adviser, and Chief Coach at Enyimba International FC, Aba and Plateau United respectively.

The young Minna-based tactician joined Elkanemi Warriors last season in a move to save them from relegation which was not possible.

Other successful coaches appointed to the technical crew are, Coach Mohammed Majin as Chief Coach, Mohammed Abubakar Ndanusa as the goalkeeper trainer, the assistant coaches are; Tukur Mohammed, Isiyaku Iliyasu, Umar Faruk Hussaini and Christopher Bernard Ishaya.

Also approved by the management is the technical crew for the feeder team of the club.

The Feeder Team is to be headed by Coach Nuhu Ahmed Babayo as the Chief Coach.

Other assistant coaches for the feeder team are; Ibrahim Mohammed Munch, Mohammed Ibrahim Baro, Lawal Mohammed Kuta, Ibrahim Aliyu, Maikudi Ayawa; and Ibrahim Musa.

Coach Abarah will be unveiled tomorrow which will allow him to kick off his programme for the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier League as head coach with the Ikon Allah Boys.
