‘’Lies from the pit of hell’’ is the theme of the reactions from multiple sources over emerging claims that the just-launched Ogun State Job Portal, www.jobs.ogunstate.gov.ng is requesting applicants to pay registration fee in a subtle extorting of a sort.
‘’There is nothing like that, it is free for all’’ a source stated to societynow.ng.
The added investigation made by societynow.ng revealed that the opportunity provided by the recently launched initiative of Governor Dapo Abiodun is not exclusively for Ogun indigenes but all residents of Ogun state.
‘’Though you can’t take away the fact that indigenes may enjoy some sort of priority status in the scheme of things’’ another source stated.
Societynow.ng learned that aside matching applicants with prospective employers, the Job Portal would provide opportunities for those on it to be part of government-sponsored training in special skills and related empowerment exercises.
Societynow.ng learned some 20 applicants secured instant employments at the launch of the Ogun State Job Portal based on the speed they were able to provide answers to questions thrown at all.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, an indigene of Ogun state launched the Job Portal on August 15, 2019.
