Ladi Adebutu Decorated With Talks Of Plan To Shift Political Base Ahead Next Ogun Guber

Famous politician, Oladipupo “Ladi” Adebutu is decorated with fresh talks.

The politician who almost became the Governor of Ogun state in 2023 – lost by less than 14 votes to Governor Dapo Abiodun – is said to be planning a shift of his political base.

Adebutu – the son of famous lotto magnate Kessington Adebutu – is from Iperu, Ogun East political divisions – like Governor Dapo Abiodun who leaves office in 2027 after spending 8years (two terms of four years each) in office.

Adebutu, who gave Abiodun a good run in the 2019 and 2023 elections, was the gubernatorial candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in both contests. Abiodun got elected and re-elected as the face of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to emerging details, as part of efforts to move out of the shadow of being from the same area as the outgoing governor who just spent 8years in office – Adebutu wants to have his next shot at the Ogun gubernatorial seat as an indigene of Ogun Central.

“The talks are that he has chosen Odeda with extensive claims that his family tree has roots in the area” according to information here and there.

Added information has it that the journey to solidify his family roots in Odeda, Ogun Central started last year – after the 2023 gubernatorial election.

If he pulls off the move, Adebutu would knock out claims of rotation against his ambition.

Ogun state is made up of three main political divisions – Ogun East, Ogun Central and Ogun West.

Although each of the main divisions has sub-divions, the governorship position is informally rotated among the big three.
