Insiders Reveal When Lagos Senator Adeola “Yayi” Will Take Final Make Or Mar Ogun Guber Ambition Step

There is a growing talk around the person of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola the Ogun gubernatorial aspirant widely known as Yayi.

The Senator representing Lagos West is said to be plotting a final make or mar move regarding his ambition to become the next governor of Ogun state.

A member of the All Progressives Congress, Yayi doesn’t enjoy the support of party man and incumbent governor Ibikunle Amosun to become his successor.

Amosun’s hard stance against Adeola immediately transforming from Lagos Senator to Ogun Governor is so intense that he is credited with vowing it won’t happen.

Though still campaigning under the platform of the APC in Ogun state, Yayi is currently “bridging” a working relationship across party lines – especially with the Otunba Gbenga Daniel’s caucus of the People’s Democratic Party.

Amosun’s absolute refusal to give him a chance fueled by Yayi’s keenness of purpose to achieve his ambition is said to be pushing him into the arms of the “opposition”.

“He needs a political platform to contest on and Amosun who has a vice grip on that of his party has vowed he won’t get it” a source pointed.

Yayi’s romance with the opposition parties in his “bridge-building efforts” has thrown up talks of a looming defection to actualize his dream of becoming Ogun Governor.

He has officially denied it more than once.

But societynow sources disclosed Yayi and his men are seriously weighing their options – and defection to another party is certainly not out of the equation.

“They are seriously and clinically looking at things and exploring all possible political angles to see which would be to their best advantage, though not really that popular amongst the group fighting it out with Amosun is also being considered” a source disclosed.

Added revelations have it that Yayi and his men intend to make their final move within the next three months.

“The move would determine whether they stay in APC or take over the structure of another political party to achieve their dream…it would be a make or mar step because whatever they decide would determine their political future” an insider disclosed.
