Supporters of the office of the Speaker of the Lagos state House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa has a special moniker for him.

The Moniker is used when referring to the state lawmaker just re-elected as the speaker by his colleagues behind is back.

The moniker is ‘’Boda Muda’’.
Naturally ‘’Right Honorable’’ or ‘’Mr. Speaker’’ are used to his face.

The moniker ‘’Boda Muda’’ (actually Boda for brother and Muda which is a shortened form of his name Mudashiru) originated from the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly’s political base in Agege.

‘’Boda’’ is an informal show of respect and familiarity with a senior amongst Speaker Mudashiru’s tribe – Yoruba.

The moniker is said to have become so popular that many workers within the Lagos State House of Assembly have adopted.
