The cabinet of the Governor of Ondo state, Olusegun Mimiko has splintered into three sources disclosed to societynowng.com.

And this development is attributed to jostling for who succeeds the outgoing governor of the state.

Insiders claim the powerful politician widely known as Iroko has shy away from backing any aspirant as his regime draws to a close.

The aspirants are revealed as Commissioner for Environment Sola Ebiseni, His counterpart in Local Government Affairs Bamiduro Dada and the Attorney General Eyitayo Jegede.

Jegede, Senior Advocate of Nigeria’s gubernatorial ambition is traced to pressure from the Monarch of Akure Aladelusi Aladetoyinbo – his zone.

The monarch and other stakeholders are clamouring that it is the turn of the zone to produce occupier of the seat of Governor

Findings by societynowng.com revealed that despite his hands off attitude, Governor Mimiko appears more likely to lean towards the emergence of his attorney General as successor.

While Jegede is from Akure, his co contenders in the cabinet Bamiduro Dada is from Akoko North the zone of the likes of Olu Agunlooye and Boroface, while Sola Ebiseni is from Akoko South the home of the likes of Segun Agagu and runaway ex presidential adviser Kingsley Kuku.
