Fubara Releases Photos Of New River’s LG Chairmen

Governor Siminalayi Fubara has released the pictures of the new Local Government Chairmen in Kwara state.

The Governor released the photos in announcing the swearing-in of the winners of the Local government election that put the state and nation on their toes.

Saturday, October 5, 2024, was conducted in the face of contradicting court rulings as the Fubara and his estranged political godfather, Nyesom Wike took resolute stands on whether the election should hold or not. They are both engulfed in a protracted battle over control of their political party, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and running of the state government.

Fubara hand his way against overwhelming odds, and sworn-in the winners on Sunday, October 6, 2024.

His alternate political party, Action People’s Party (APP) won 22 out of 23 seats available.
