Folashade, Wife Of Suspended Intelligence Chief Ayo Oke Invited For Questioning Over Role In Discovered $43,4m In Empty Lagos Apartment
Information filtering in revealed Folashade, the wife of suspended Director General of the National Intelligence Agency, Ayo Oke has been invited for questioning by anti corruption agency Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
The move is said to be aimed at establishing her role in how the $43.4m discovered in an empty lagos apartment came to be.
The presidency has ordered investigations into the source and use of the huge fund which her husband claimed was mean for covert operations.
The communication that ordered the investigation also communicated the suspension of the D.G.
This is against background of information floating around that the President was unaware of the mysterious fund, as well it’s use before the EFCC stumbled on it with the help of a whistle blower.
The whistle blower claimed interest in the empty apartment was piqued by an individual dressed like a not well to do old woman who intermittently brought heavy ‘’Ghana-Must- Go’’ Bags to the building.
Fingers the ‘’mysterious woman’’ was Folashade are being pointed in some quarters.
And that her company own apartment 7b in Osborne Towers, Ikoyi, Lagos, where the money was fund.
It is believed the EFCC invitation and questioning would help make her role in the discovered fund causing uproar all over town clear.
