Fidelity Bank Plc, a leading tier-one financial institution, continues to consolidate its reputation as a dynamic force in Nigeria’s banking sector.

The bank was recently honoured with the Most Improved Commercial Bank of the Year award at the inaugural Nairametrics Capital Market Choice Awards, held on May 23, 2025, at the Banquet Hall of the Civic Center in Lagos.

The award recognizes Fidelity Bank’s outstanding financial performance, including an impressive 210% year-on-year Profit Before Tax (PBT) growth in 2024, which reached ₦385.2 billion—the largest PBT growth in the Nigerian banking industry for the year.

The bank also spearheaded the Central Bank of Nigeria’s recapitalization drive with highly successful public offerings that were oversubscribed by 237.9% and 137.7% respectively, underscoring strong investor confidence in the bank’s strategic direction.

“This award is a testament to the tremendous work we are doing—not only in delivering superior service to our customers but also in driving economic growth and creating sustainable value for all stakeholders,” said Dr. Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe, Managing Director and CEO of Fidelity Bank Plc.

Further demonstrating its commitment to fostering growth beyond Nigeria’s borders, Fidelity Bank announced the third edition of its flagship Fidelity International Trade and Creative Connect (FITCC) Expo, scheduled for September 18–20, 2025, at the Omni Atlanta Hotel at Centennial Park, Georgia, USA.

The event, in partnership with Amplify Africa, aims to deepen diaspora and transatlantic business linkages, connecting Nigerian exporters with U.S. buyers, investors, and policy stakeholders.

Since its inception in 2022, FITCC has evolved into a dynamic platform for promoting Nigeria’s non-oil exports and unlocking global market opportunities.

The upcoming Atlanta edition is expected to attract over 3,000 participants and will feature exhibitions, B2B matchmaking, diaspora investment panels, and curated workshops in sectors such as agriculture, consumer-packaged goods, energy transition minerals, fashion, beauty, and the creative economy.

With a track record of winning multiple prestigious awards—including the 2024 Excellence in Digital Transformation & MSME Banking Award by BusinessDay Banks and Financial Institutions (BAFI) Awards—Fidelity Bank continues to lead by example in digital banking, innovation, and strategic global partnerships.
