The Osun Rescue Mission Team has raised the alarm over what it described as a fake and unauthorised Facebook page operating under the name “Sen. Christopher Iyiola Omisore Campaign GROUP,” warning members of the public to disregard all content emanating from the page.

In a disclaimer issued on Monday and signed by Hon Ajibola Famurewa, director-general of the Osun Rescue Mission Team, the group said the page has been involved in “provocative publications” that run contrary to the political philosophy, values and long-held positions of Senator Iyiola Omisore and his supporters.

The team stated categorically that the Facebook page is unknown to Omisore, his campaign structure, media team or anyone officially associated with him, stressing that it neither represents nor speaks for the former deputy governor in any capacity.

According to the statement, all claims, posts, updates and activities from the page should be treated as false, misleading and criminal, as they do not reflect the views or intentions of Omisore or the Osun Rescue Mission 2026 project.

The disclaimer also urged the general public, members of the All Progressives Congress at both the state and national levels, as well as supporters within and outside Nigeria, to remain vigilant and rely only on verified and officially recognised communication channels.

Famurewa said authentic information concerning Omisore and the Osun Rescue Mission would continue to be communicated through approved platforms and direct statements from the distinguished senator, particularly on matters relating to governance and national development.

The team described the disclaimer as necessary to protect supporters from misinformation and to prevent the abuse of Omisore’s name and political identity as political activities ahead of 2026 gradually intensify.
