Ex President Goodluck Jothanan Absent As Ifeanyi Ubah, Chief Campaigner For 2nd Term Hands Out “Special Recognition Award”
Former President Goodluck Jonathan was a no show at the event organised to honour him by one the chief campaigners for his second term, Ifeanyi Ubah.
Ifeanyi Ubah and his Authority Newspaper staged the 2016 edition of their awards today, Thursday January 26 2016 in Abuja.
Immediate past president Goodluck Jonathan was one of the award recipients
Jonathan was decorated with a special recognition award of ‘’Icon Of Democracy In Africa ‘’for protecting the nation’s democracy.
The former president refused to adopt a sit tight attitude by handing over power when he
lost election conducted by his administration in attempt to secure a second term in office.
Ifeanyi Ubah, the chairman and publisher of Authority was a major campaigner for Goodluck Jonathan’s second term with his Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria movement.
But for reasons described as ‘’unforeseen’’ the former president was not on hand to honour his chief campaigner with his presence nor receive the award.
He however reportedly sent a representative.
