Ex First Lady, Patience Jonathan Denied Access To Airport’s VIP Lounge

Dame Patience Jonathan experienced firsthand what it meant to be without state powers recently.

She was denied access to a luxury she has enjoyed for the past 16years.

Information filtering in revealed the wife of immediate past President Goodluck Jonathan was denied access to the VIP Lounge of the Port Harcourt International during the week.

The wife of the former President acknowledged in many quarters as one of the most powerful first ladies the country ever had was reportedly refused entry – even after her aides attempted to sweet talked the airport security personnel.

According to information credited to New Telegraph ‘efforts by the former president’s wife and her personal aides to pacify the security agents at the airport to allow the long known protocol etiquette stand were rebuffed as they stood their ground.’

Added information by the national daily however revealed the action contravenes existing protocols regarding individuals such as the former first lady.

The wife of the former president credited with installing a sitting governor and making party decisions when her husband was in power was said to have experienced the odd treatment on Wednesday July 22 2015.

According to New Telegraph the development transpired on her way to and from the burial of her former Chief Security Officer (CSO), Tamuno Jacob Igbomie,-a Deputy Superintendent of Police.

The deceased was shot dead by unknown individuals along Airport Road Abuja.
Valuables in the car he was found dead in where untouched according to police reports.
