The spenders’ terrain is afflicted with recession as well and this is confirmed.

But operators insist compared to others, the industry is still booming.

That is the situation with the night club industry according to emerging details.

Club owners speaking under condition of anonymity confirmed ‘’Dollars has become a scare commodity around them’’.

‘’Even, in the club i don’t get to see dollars again’’ one stated emphatically.

The American Dollar is one of the major currency for show offs in the night club.

It separates the men from the boys as regards purchasing power and also doubles as a status symbol.

But it appears the men and the boys are currently on same level based fresh disclosures.

There are no more ‘’Dollars’’ to serve as a differentiating line based on revelation by the night life bosses.

Scarcity of Dollar has hit the nation in the face of plummeting purchasing power of the Naira as recession takes giant steps into the economy.

Most of the Club owners spoken to operate in the crux of the night life business, Victoria Island – Lagos

Two or three in Abuja and one in Port Harcourt – they all want to maintain anonymity to protect their businesses.

But in the face of scarcity of Dollar which tells a story of grave drop in spending habit , the club owners insist compared to other sectors ‘’the industry is booming’’

General consensus amongst the club owner is that though the regular patrons before talks of recession hit town have thinned out a new brand of young and spending clubbers have taken over.

‘’There are new people, young guys …they are not spending dollars but they are spending Naira in a way that makes the business worthwhile with all these talks of recession’’ a night club boss summed up the views of all.
