Doused With Allegations Of 7months Salary Debt, Ex Gov Segun Mimiko Claims He Left N20billion In State Coffers
Immediate past governor of Ogun state, Olusegun Mimiko claimed to have left N20billion in state coffers.
Mimiko made the disclosure through his former commissioner for information Kayode Akinmade.
The revelation in the midst of allegations the administration of the former governor owed workers about seven months salaries.
Workers in different economic sectors in the state – including health – are currently on strike. 
New governor Rotimi Akeredolu is currently pleading with the striking workers to return to their duty posts with promises of offsetting outstanding salaries.
Mimiko made revelation of leaving N20billion in state coffers in face of allegations by his successor that the new administration inherited a N150billion debt.
