Different Styles, Reactions As Tinubu & Osinbajo Identify With Kenya’s New President

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate for the 2023 election, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu have identified and congratulated the new president of Kenya, William Ruto.

Osinbajo and Tinubu adopted different styles.

The Vice President’s open message reads “Congratulations My Brother @williamsamoeiruto”

He made the congratulatory post along with two pictures taken with Ruto.

After 12 hours, Osinbajo’s message posted on his Facebook page had 602 comments and 53 shares.

The congratulatory message of the APC presidential candidate on the other hand reads…

“I congratulate @William Ruto and his UDA party on his election as the next president of Kenya.

I also congratulate and commend the people of Kenya on the peaceful conduct of the elections.

While urging all Kenyans to accept this result and shun violence, I enjoin them to seek peaceful adjudication of all disputes through the Kenyan legal system.

This shall be the greatest testament to the progress Kenya has made in strengthening the core institutions of its democracy.

It is my prayer that as President, Mr. Ruto will unite the country, bringing all Kenyans together to move their great nation forward and implementing the progressive policies and reforms desired by the people.

I wish Mr. Ruto and all the people of Kenya the very best and look forward to a continued beneficial and cordial relationship between the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Republic of Kenya.”

Tinubu’s message was made accompanied by an image of the personally signed congratulatory letter to the new Kenya President.

After 20hrs on the Facebook page of the presidential candidate, it has recorded 1,006 comments and 161 shares.
