Details: Osinbajo’s Prolonged Silence Highlighted
maintaining a prolonged silence
Former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is maintaining a prolonged silence in the public space.
This development is highlighted by the recent celebration of Nigeria’s 64th independence day anniversary.
The Senior Advocate of Nigeria, contrary to the norm, did not post any comment to mark the October 1, 2024 celebration.
The Professor of the Law of Evidence traditionally celebrates such national landmarks and provides updates on his activities on the social media platform, Facebook.
However, checks revealed that the 67-year-old made his last Facebook post on July 25, 2024, in a video advocating statesmanship as a factor in making Africa better.
His silence during the October 1, 2024 celebration is the first since he became a national political figure.

The “Noble Nigerian” — an appellation for students and old boys of Igbobi College — was the Vice President of Nigeria from May 29, 2015, to May 29, 2023.
He served two terms in office with immediate past President Muhammadu Buhari.
Further checks on the social media page of his media aide, Laolu Akande, did not feature any statement from Osinbajo on Nigeria’s 64th independence at press time.
