The political alliance that brought governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun to power is troubled.

Insiders disclosed that the various interests that came together to wrestle power from Ibikunle Amosun and his crew are currently at odds with one another over who gets what in the new administration.

Insiders disclosed that what compounded the situation was the recent snatching away of the ministerial spot for Ogun state by Amosun.

Societynow.ng learned that against all odds, Amosun who is now a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria clinched the ministerial position earmarked for Ogun state for his loyalist Lekan Adegbite.

‘’Amosun exploited the cracks in the alliance that brought Abiodun to power to achieve his aim’’ societynow.ng learned.

Insiders disclosed that the Abiodun group failed to work towards a common interest.

‘’They submitted three names and lobbied hard against one another’’ societynow.ng learned.

Societynow.ng gathered that Governor Abiodun rooted for Bimbo Ashiru while party leader in the state Aremo Segun Osoba pushed for Segun Adesegun while Asiwaju Bola Tinubu nominated Wale Edun.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo tried to play safe but certainly didn’t support Amosun insiders insist.

Each group lobbied for individuals that would protect its interest instead of the common good.

‘’They frittered away the strength in their combine forces to give Amosun’s influence with the President a huge rebirth and claim the ministerial slot right under their noses’’ societynow.ng gathered.

Insiders, however, disclosed that Governor Abiodun has initiated steps to mend the cracks created by the misadventure of the ministerial nomination.

‘’That is what is further delaying the appointments of commissioners. The governor is trying to come up with appointments that will seal the cracks in the alliance that is giving room for the rebirth and return of the influence of Amosun by giving something to everybody’’ societynow.ng learned.
