Daniel, Yayi Not In Photos Of Reception For Ministers From Ogun Released By Abiodun

All the ministers appointed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu have been sworn-in.
They were sworn in on Monday, August 21, 2023.
An inauguration reception was organized for ministers from Ogun state by the administration of Governor Dapo Abiodun.
The ministers are Wale Edun: the Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Bosun Tijani, Minister for Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy and Iziaq Salako, Minister of State – Environment Management.
Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun released pictures from the reception along with the declaration of ” profound gratitude” to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu “for finding them worthy of federal ministerial appointments that would assist” the realization of his “Renewed Hope” Agenda.
Senators Gbenga Daniel and Solomon Olamilekan Adeola -famously known as Yayi- were absent in the pictures released by Abiodun SocietyNow.Ng’s checks revealed.
The grapevine has it that the two Senators influenced the appointments Tijani and Salako respectively while President Tinubu handpicked Edun.
Governor Abiodun, the leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun state was left without any candidate.
The appointments of Minister Tijani reportedly deepened the political feud between Abiodun and Daniel while Salako’s emergence dampened the good rapport between Senator Yayi and the Governor according to the chatter in Ogun state.
Although Senators Daniel and Adeola Yayi were not featured in the pictures of the reception for Ministers from Ogun state, the third Senator from the state – Afolabi Shaib was prominent.
While Daniel and Adeola are powerhouse politicians that helped Abiodun get his first term election in 2019 and won elections into the Senate on their political strength – with Yayi playing a significant role in the Governor getting a second term in March 2023 -, Senator Shaib owes his present status to the goodwill of the Governor.
Shuaib is the Chief of Staff to Abiodun in his first term, May 29, 2019, to May 29, 2023.
