Former Ogun State Governor and serving Senator, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, has congratulated Princess (Dr.) Adesola Ayoola-Elegbeji on her victory in the just-concluded bye-election for the Ikenne/Remo North/Sagamu Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives.

In a goodwill message, Daniel described her triumph as “a strong signpost of our collective efforts to further unite our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).”

The former governor noted that the outcome of the poll reaffirmed the confidence of the people in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership.

“Your triumph is not only a personal achievement but also a strong signpost of our collective efforts to further unite our great party, the APC. It equally reaffirms the confidence our people continue to repose in the leadership of His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” Senator Daniel stated.

He commended the campaign style of the new lawmaker, praising her composure and peaceful approach.

“Throughout the campaign, you exhibited uncommon courage and comportment as a peace-loving leader, demonstrating that politics can thrive even in a less acrimonious environment,” Daniel said.

Senator Daniel also acknowledged Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, for his role in securing the victory for the party. “Permit me also to use this opportunity to appreciate and congratulate, on your behalf, the Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun, for the pivotal role in making your victory possible,” he added.

The former governor urged the people of the constituency to unite beyond the election and focus on the challenges ahead.

“With the conclusion of this election, I urge all our compatriots especially within Remo Federal constituency to reunite and prepare to forge a common front in preparation for the task ahead,” Daniel stated.
