Dame Patience Jonathan’s Cousin Esther Obla Running N9bn Account With Own Name, BVN But Ex First Lady’s Signature Runs Into Bigger Trouble

Esther Obla, alleged front and cousin to former first lady, Dame Patience Jonathan is in bigger trouble.

After attracting interest from anti corruption agency, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission – EFCC for clandestinely running a N9billion account for the wife of former president Goodluck Jonathan.

She has also got into the black book of immigration for holding two valid passports with different signatures.

And an investigation of fraud currently launched against her.

This means she is undergoing investigation by both the EFCC and Immigration.

Obla presently remains at large.

The immigration service was alerted to the fraud via a letter from the EFCC seeking clarification on the status of passports been used as part of smoke screen for ownership of bank accounts controlled by former first lady Dame Patience Jonathan.

The immigration confirmed the passports valid and kick started investigation to determine how such an anomaly came to be.

Ruse investigation revealed was Obla having bank accounts with own names and BVN but signatures of Dame Patience Jonathan.

Interestingly , Investigators claim both Obla and Dame Patience have strikingly similar signatures according to information monitored on news platform, Punch.
