“Competence Issues Or Weight Of Increased Patronage”…Customers Groan As Diamond Bank’s Branches Threaten To Burst At The Seams With Huge Crowd, Occasional Fights
Diamond Bank, the financial Institution headed by new breed banker, Uzoma Dozie is experiencing influx of customers.
And it appears the management in charge of the outlets concerned are having a hard time dealing with situation.
”Customers are groaning under the weight of associated discomfort that comes with the situation” a source disclosed.
Affected are said to be branches located in Mainland part of Lagos State and some outlets in Ogun state, particularly the two major outlets in Ota.
Customers who want to pay and withdrawal funds are said to experience close to two hours wait.
Tempers are said to flare over little things in the queue and occasional fights break out.
”I have experienced it, especially in Sango..at their branch at the otherside of the General Hospital, some one wanted to jump the line or something” a source
Others sources claimed same experience at Lagos outlets affected.
At times the ”crowd” at the affected branches are said to express the anger for the ”prolonged wait” via vituperations on staffers at the affected branches.
Though some attribute the discomforting scenario to end of the year rush, the summation however is that ”proper” management of the crowd by those in charge of the outlets would have diffused the situation.
”They are not the only experiencing this influx at their branches at this period but obviously they are not handling it properly” another source opined.
Information pieced together revealed judging from the increased numbers of customers that now throng the branches in questioned, it’s like the human and material resources at hand are straining under the weight of ”increased duties”.
”I am familiar with some of these branches, especially the Sango branch..it wasn’t like that earlier in the year, it was really enjoyable banking their but now it’s hell” a customer gives a before and now comparison.
