Church Gate Directors Bhagwani & Ratan Mahtani Label Cross Border Mega Scam Allegation As “Smear Campaign”

Church Gate Directors Bhagwani and Ratan Mahtani have reacted to allegations of cross border mega scam allegation that doused them not too long ago.

They labelled it ”a smear campaign”

The Indian Business men reacted through a third party who simple gave his name as Femi.

Femi in an e- mail communication specifically stated ”Against what was being reported, they are nationalized citizens of Nigeria and were never deported from this country.” ChurchGate

This is in reaction to allegations mr Moses Oladotun Alade, a former Assistant Inspector with the Nigeria Customs Services (NCS).

Alade has pointedly alleged ””Sometime in 1986, the so called Mahtanis were initially called the Manshaudani family (owners and Directors of Churchgate Nigeria Limited) and were charged to court by the Federal Government for alleged economic sabotage and exchange control malpractices; and they were found guilty, expelled and ordered to be deported to India from Nigeria.

“However, in 2002, the said directors of Churchgate who had been expelled and deported to India re-entered Nigeria after changing their names and international passports. They now bear B.I. Mathani, R.I. Mathani and J.P Mathani and N.K. Soumani respectively,”

But Femi in his e-mail communication claimed ”You can verify from the Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs and other relevant authorities.

”The Company has never had any Messrs Ajan Manshaudani, Ramesha Manshaudani and B.K Manshaudani as directors. The particulars of directors of the company can be ascertained at the Corporate Affairs Commission. Neither did they change from Manshaudani as it is being reported.”

Alade in making his accusation alleged the Mahtanis had defrauded him and refused to honour their contractual agreements in textile and fertilizer transactions running into multiple millions of naira.

But the churchgate directors spokesperson identified simple as Femi in his e-mail broadly labelled the allegations as ”malicious” and ”orchestrated”
