Transcorp Hotels, the hospitality arm of one of Africa’s leading listed companies, has a new Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer.
She is Uzo Oshogwe.
Oshogwe, who comes on board backed by 30 years of outstanding leadership experience, takes over from Dupe Olusola, under whose tenure Transcorp Hotels recorded tremendous growth to become the industry’s shining light.
Tony Elumelu, the Chairman of Nigeria’s largest quoted conglomerate, Transcorp Group, announced the change in baton on Monday, January 6, 2025.

“Delighted to welcome Uzo Oshogwe, the new Managing Director/CEO of Transcorp Hotels Plc. Uzo succeeds Dupe Olusola,” Elumelu, whose undertakings include the global financial powerhouse United Bank for Africa (UBA), wrote in a social media post.
“Uzo Oshogwe brings over 30 years of outstanding leadership experience, with significant roles at United Bank for Africa (UBA) Group, Accenture UK, and, most recently, Afriland Properties Plc. Her proven expertise in driving strategic growth and delivering value aligns perfectly with our vision,” he added, while thanking Dupe Olusola for “her leadership and contribution, which have laid a solid foundation for our ongoing success.”

Olusola was appointed to Save the Children United Kingdom’s Africa Advisory Board in June 2024.
Backed by consistent profitability, Transcorp Hotels has not just become a valuable arm of the Transcorp Group—with subsidiaries including leading energy provider Transcorp Power—but an outstanding performer and top earner in the nation’s hospitality sector.

Giving a hint of what is to come with Oshogwe in charge, Elumelu stated, “Transcorp Hilton Abuja is where Nigeria welcomes the world, and with our new 5,000-seat event centre, I know with Uzo we will be taking our hospitality offering to new heights.”
