The Pastor In Council of the Celestial Church of Christ – led Pastor and the spiritual leader worldwide Emmanuel Mobiyina Oshofa – has directed that all Shepherds and clergymen and women ( Assistant Shepherds and other church workers ) in Nigeria should send their account details to be credited with “unspecified funds”.
The funds are meant to ease the living of the persons concerned during the lockdown in the fight against Covid-19.
The Bank Account numbers to be credited would be sent through dedicated links on an online platform societynow.ng learned.
According to the rules of the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC), Shepherds and Assistant Shepherds are forbidden from any other form of enterprise outside their spiritual undertakings and responsibilities to the church and dedication to the gospel.
” Their living is entirely dependent on the church and offerings from those who appreciate what they do” societynow.ng learned.
All places of worship, including parishes of the Celestial Church of Christ, have been shut down as part of the government’s efforts to contain the spread of Covid-19.
“In the face of the present situation on the country, I think it is a laudable move by the Pastor in Council to make take up the responsibility of providing for the Shepherds and the church workers” a source stated.
Societynow.ng, however, confirmed that this provision is for only registered Shepherds and church workers assigned or not assigned to a parish
