The Bayelsa Investment Promotion Agency (BIPA), in collaboration with the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC), has announced plans to conduct a survey on the ease of doing business in the state.

The exercise, which will specifically target Micro, Small, and Medium-Scale Enterprises (MSMEs), is expected to commence on Monday, August 18, 2025.

According to BIPA, the survey is a crucial step in assessing the business climate within the state, particularly for MSMEs, and will serve as a platform for gathering feedback that will feed into the Subnational Ease of Doing Business Index.

The findings, the agency noted, will help shape interventions from both the Federal and State governments aimed at creating a more supportive and enabling environment for small businesses.

Business owners across Bayelsa are urged to cooperate fully with designated officials to ensure a smooth process. The Director-General of BIPA, Patience Abah, said the insights from the survey would provide valuable guidance for policy decisions and reforms designed to strengthen enterprise growth in the state.

She stressed that the participation of business operators is critical to the success of the exercise, describing their involvement as both essential and appreciated.
