Bayelsa Not Owing Any Contractor- Information Commissioner Declares

Bayelsa State Government says it is not owing any of its contractors and remains committed to completing all ongoing projects.

Commissioner for Information, Orientation and Strategy, Hon. (Mrs.) Ebiuwou Koku Obiyai, stated this during the August and September transparency briefing in Yenagoa, describing the exercise as vital for public trust and accountability.

She said the government had continued to make savings from its finances to fund the various ongoing projects.

The Technical Adviser on Finance, Treasury and Accounts, Mr. Timipre Seipulou, who gave out the breakdown of all receipts and expenditures said Governor Douye Diri, had maintained strong financial discipline to ensure effective governance.
