Bayelsa Gov Diri Appoints 34 Aides
Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri has appointed a former Acting Director-General of the Department of State Services, Matthew Seiyefa and 33 others as aides.
Diri’s Chief Press Secretary, Daniel Alabarah made the announcement in a statement on Friday.
Alabarah whose appointment was also confirmed as the Governor’s CPS, said Diri appointed five honorary special advisers, four technical advisers, amongst others.
“Two former commissioners, Perekiye Bruboyefe and Jonathan Obuebite, are among the special advisers.
“Retired Commissioner of Police, Akpoebi Agberebi, was also re-appointed by Diri.
“A former Special Adviser on Domestic Matters to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Obriki Sylbriks, and a former member of the state House of Assembly, Franklin Otele, also made the list of special advisers.
“The appointees will be sworn in on a later date,” he said.
