Again, Dame Patience In The News For The Wrong Reason!

Former first lady Dame Patience Jonathan is back in the news.

And again it’s for a not too good reason.

But this time, it is a development she is not directly involved with.

Nasko Egei, a one time Senior Special Assistant to Governor of Bayelsa state Seriake Dickson is dead.

He reportedly died at Aridolf Resort Wellness and Spa, a hotel operated by Dame Patience.

The cause of the death is being investigated by the police.

But emerging details have it that the deceased lodged at the hotel with a female companion who fled before his demise was discovered.

The tragic event occurred on Friday.

Speaking on the incident to newsmen, the Bayelsa state police command Public Relations Officer, Asinim Butswat stated “It has not been established whether he was poisoned or not. At this point, we won’t be able to establish whether he was poisoned and who poisoned him”.

“But we will look at the people he was with the previous night before the incident. By the time we carry out a post-mortem investigation that will determine what substance actually led to his death. The investigation is ongoing.”

Since her husband lost the election to retain his seat as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dame Patience – a major power broker in hubby’s administration – has remained in the news for unflattering reasons, especially as regards corruption charges.
