“Is The Investigation Over?” Pundits Ask As Obanikoro Defects To Ruling APC With Huge Corruption Case Hanging Around His Neck
Musiliu Obanikoro, the former minister has dumped People’s Democratic Party, the political platform that gave him strong reckoning for all of 10 years.
He officially decamps to the ruling All Progressives Congress on Saturday, November 25, 2017, in Lagos.
But that is not the story.
The story is that since news broke that he would cross over, pundits have been asking questions what happens to the corruption case hanging around his neck.
The former minister is undergoing investigation for role in diversion of public funds and ‘’engineering’’ electoral victory in Ekiti state.
The investigation has resulted in the seizure of properties belonging to self and wife – including a house in Abuja.
Koro as fondly called had entered into plea bargaining to return some of the huge funds traced to him and regain freedom from prison custody.
The investigation into corruption allegations against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission remain open but downplayed since he started hobnobbing with the leadership of the ruling All Progressives Congress.
And now that he has officially ‘’defected’’ to the APC, the poser ‘’is this the end of the investigation?’’ surfaced and refuse to go away at every corner of discussions about the politician dubbed ‘’returned to his vomit’’.
