Yahaya Bello In Fresh Controversy

Governor of Kogi state Yahaya Bello is in a fresh controversy.

The young Governor accused of huge extravagance in face of troubled economy ravaging his state just attracted another unwanted public attention.

Bello who reportedly built a flamboyant mansion and lavishly declared it open at a time he was battling to pay salaries of civil servants is said to just shell out N55million to purchase All Progressives Congress presidential aspirant nomination and expression of interest forms for President Muhammadu Buhari.

Bello was said to have perfected the act in secrecy after re-election seeking Buhari announced he doesn’t have the fund to buy meet the huge fee put on the nomination form by his party.

President Buhari who rode to office on the wave of public sympathy for an adopted modest lifestyle is still sticking to the theme in the face of reports of life of luxury decorating people surrounding him, including his wife and children.

Governor Bello’s secret purchase of the nomination form for Buhari was initially decorated with talks of the form purchased by ‘’some Nigerian youths” for the president.

But the secret got leaked and Bello faces a huge backlash.

Unpleasant comments decorate his person since the ‘’secret” got leaked.

And in a bid to stave off the backlash, the Kogi governor has issued a denial.

A statement signed by chief press secretary Petra Akinti Onyegbule distances Governor Bello from the fast turning ugly development.

But those in the know insist otherwise.
