Tajudeen Abbas has emerged the new Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives.

He polled 252 votes to blowout his opponents, Idris Wase and Aminu Jaji who scored three votes a piece.

Abbas is the choice of President Bola Tinubu for the position.

Wase is the immediate past Deputy Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives.
