Why They Say Oyetola Is Fueling Aregbesola’s Anger Underground
The word in the political circle of Osun state is that Governor Gboyega Oyetola is silently fueling the anger of Rauf Aregbesola, the Minister for Interior under the cover of peace moves.
“Oyetola and his people are goading Aregbesola to anger despite the talks of suing for peace” societynow.ng learned.
Information abound revealed that this ploy became glaring in the ongoing registration and revalidation of members of the ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC) in and out of Osun State.
Oyetola put in place a high power delegation to buoy the registration exercise of Otunba Iyiola Omisore who officially joined the party from the rival party Social Democratic Party.
Omisore had been a closet member of the APC since his vital play against his former party People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the intense election that made Oyetola Governor of Osun state.
The Governor was present at the registration exercise of party leader Chief Bisi Akande.
Omosire and Akande did their registration and revalidation as members of the APC in Osun state.
Governor Oyetola traveled to Lagos to be a part of the revalidation of the APC membership of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“But the Governor conveniently failed to be a part of the re-validation of membership exercise of Aregbesola” societynow.ng learned.
According to information milling around the APC circle in Osun state, the angst is that Oyetola pulled out the stops to honor and show respect to Omisore by identifying with his APC registration ceremony but shunned Aregbesola by not according to him any form of recognition.

“These are what is fueling the angst in Aregbesola’s camp. Aregbesola is a former Governor of Osun state. He served two terms and played his part in the emergence of Oyetola as his successor. He is a more senior party man and a serving minister as well. He has been disrespected and still being disrespected” societynow.ng learned.
The added information at hand revealed that “being disrespected” refers to a prevailing situation in which political appointees and party men loyal to Oyetola teleguided by the Governor’s body language also give Aregbesola and everything that has to do with him a wide berth in form of a boycott.
“Some in attempt to show excessive loyalty to the Governor even take potshots at Aregbesola” societynow.ng learned.
“And you know Aregbe (Aregbesola) is blunt to a fault and is always ready to take on a fight especially when he is convinced he is in the right, it is these actions and inactions of Oyetola that are forcing responses painting Aregbe as the aggressor..they are silently fueling his anger, goading him to do things that play to their agenda” societynow.ng gathered.
