It promised to be a great read.

And it has started to generate interesting reactions.

The story was a series on questionable characters praised to high heavens by Wasiu Ayinde Anifowoshe, king of the modern-day genre of music known as Fuji.

Anifowoshe popularly known as Kwam 1 or K1 blazed a trail of success in his chosen sphere but it wasn’t all rain and sunshine.

Kwam1 courted some major controversies particularly with the people he praise sings.

Many of them – featured in sold-out albums – have been unmasked as drug pushers, fraudsters and kings of related vices via arrest and convictions home and abroad.

Twitter user Ayobami @dondekejo started a thread on the people Kwam1 praised the most in his albums over the years and had posted some of the ‘’interesting results’’ before he stopped it.

Some of the results are Ade Bendel (Adedeji Alumile) convicted for fraud and linked to one of the biggest heists in Nigeria, Maurice Ibekwe arrested for defrauding a German company – implicated in one of the biggest scams in the world – and died in detention (became a Federal House of Representatives member), Demola Oyefeso convicted for tax fraud in the United States of America and fingered in narcotics deals, Sati Ramon who was arrested and underwent trial and was deported from London to Nigeria on drugs charges, Lanre Shittu who got extradited to the United States on drugs charges, Azeez Igbira arrested for fraud, Akindele “Ile Eru” Kumoluy convicted for cocaine trafficking, Rafiu Akanbi Ajibola aka Alele arrested for drug trafficking.

The list also included the recent arrest of Kwan1’s son, Sultan.

The Ayobami – the author – who insists he is putting out the information for ‘’culture’’, however, halted the narrative midday today (Saturday, September 7).

After initially stating ‘’It is beyond me’’, Ayobami later revealed after much pressure from his readers ‘’ Okay. We are ending this lol. Hate my DMS. Respect everyone.’’
