Why Insiders Say Fashola Is Not An Outsider In Tinubu’s Govt

Those who should know say the claims that a political rift has made former Minister Babatunde Fashola, an outsider in the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu are not correct.

SocietyNow.Ng gathered that although he remains “intentionally” quiet, the 60-year-old old is an embedded part of the new Government through personal rapport with President Tinubu.

“Fashola is very much in touch with Tinubu, he has become one of the behind-the-scenes resource persons that the President consults.

Fashola was an influential Minister in all the 8years of the immediate past administration of former President, Muhammadu Buhari.

Among other vital enabling, the Senior lawyer is credited with putting a stop to Ministers submitting their “files” to the powerful Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari instead of Buhari.

Inside information has it that Fashola is providing tips from experience as a “super minister” in the regime of Buhari to help Tinubu achieve greater things.

The former Governor of Lagos State (2007 to 2015) earned the appellation “Super Minister” with his appointment as Minister in charge of two critical ministries, Power and Works and Housing in the first term of former President Buhari (2015 to 2019).

Although the Power ministry was taken from him in Buhari’s second term (2019 to 2023), Fashola did enough to be one of the shining lights of the immediate past government.

SocietyNow.Ng that it is the understanding from the experience that Fashola who is now resident in Lagos is bringing to bear as one of President Tinubu’s silent resource persons.

“So all those talks of he is out, there is a great animosity between them are not correct. They are constantly in touch and closely working together for the new government to record better achievements” SocietyNow.Ng learned.
