Supporters of Senator Solomon Adeola and Gboyega Nasir Isiaka, two of the major players in the political alliance that helped Dapo Abiodun emerge as the governor of Ogun State at war.

They are openly attacking one another on and offline societynow.ng learned.

Sources attribute this development to conflicting views over who succeeds Dapo Abiodun.

‘’It is specifically about getting Abiodun’s backing to succeed him’’ societynow.ng gathered.

Both Senator Adeola better known as Yayi and Gboyega Nasir Isiaka more popularly known as GNI expressed intention to become the Governor of Ogun state before teaming up with Abiodun.

GNI was the gubernatorial candidate of African Democratic Congress in the last general election while Yayi pulled out before the All Progressives Congress primary to secure re-election as the Senator in Lagos state (Lagos-West) in the face of fierce opposition from immediate past governor Ibikune Amosun.

GNI has officially joined the administration of  the new Governor in a move seen as ‘’putting himself’’ in place to make the actualization of his gubernatorial ambition easier in the future.

Senator from Lagos state, Yayi – acting the script of APC National Leader, Bola Tinubu – has nominated loyalists to be a part of the Abiodun administration.

Insiders confirmed that, however, despite being on the same team the Yayi and GNI camps view each other with distrust.

‘’And interestingly they operate from the same region Yewa, the minority group area that is yet to produce a governor in Ogun state’’ a source pointed.

Societynow.ng gathered that the current war between the supporters of Yayi and GNI has to do with who gets Abiodun’s backing to succeed him as governor.

‘’And the objective of the attacks aimed at their patrons is to devalue their targets in the bid to portray one as better than the other’’ societynow.ng learned.

The information at hand revealed that the fight which is raging on social media groups of Ogun state indigenes is starting early to cause ‘’as much damage as possible’’ over time.

‘’And this is in spite of the danger the discord poses to the alliance backing Governor Abiodun, especially with common enemy Senator Ibikunle Amosun and his candidate in the Alliance People’s Movement, Adekune Akinlade working hard underground to grow in influence and reach’’ societynow.ng learned.
